Kolohe's Hot Run Continues in France

Current ASP World Number 9 and the pride of Orange County surfing on the ASP World Tour, Kolohe Andino, has advanced to the quarterfinals of the 2014 Quiksilver Pro France, keeping his ASP Top 10 dream alive. With other top 10'ers like Adriano DeSouza, Joel Parkinson and Michel Bourez out of the event, Kolohe could jump a few more spots with a solid result, which he is pretty much guaranteed at this point in the event regardless of what happens in the quarters.

Kolohe's had an epic run this year. His best ever, actually. After a weak start with two 13ths on the Gold Coast and Margaret River, and a 25th at Bells, something clicked in the last several events and he's pocketed solid results, including a 2nd in Brazil, a 3rd in Fiji, a 9th at J-Bay and a 5th in Tahiti. Other than his 13th at Lowers last month, his worst results appear to be behind him as he's cemented his place on the ASP World Tour where he'll probably stay as long as he wants.

Joining Kolohe in the quarters so far is Miguel Pupo, Gabriel Medina and Jordy Smith with the rest of the quarterfinalists being determined tomorrow in Round 5.—-Skip Snead

Round 5 Matchups
Heat 1 Mick Fanning vs. John John Florence
Heat 2 Josh Kerr vs. Matt Wilkinson
Heat 3 Felipe Toledo vs. Jadson Andre
Heat 4 Taj Burrow vs. Kelly Slater
