Finally!! The Vans Triple Crown of Ripping Begins

We've been waiting for this year's Vans Triple Crown of Surfing since last year's Vans Triple Crown of Surfing. We were patient, too. We sat on our computers and watched the Australian leg of the world tour. Then off we went to Rio, and Fiji and J-Bay. We got our kicks with Tahiti, and saw some ripping at Lowers, then off to France and Portugal for the European leg. Needless to say it's been a long year waiting for the Vans Triple Crown in Hawaii to roll around, and it's finally come to pass. The best surfers in the world are in Hawaii for the 2014 Vans "Tri Cro" and, as usual, it's the best time of year to be both a surfer and a fan of professional surfing. Hawaii makes or breaks both careers and surfboards and there's never a dull moment.
