It's with great pleasure, and a pure stoke for the life of Hobie Alter that we present him on the cover of the new issue #28 hitting core surf shops and other cool places surfers hang out next week! This is a classic covershot, one of the first tandem surf shots ever featured on the cover of a surf mag, featuring Hobie Alter in all his glory hoisting up the lovely Laurie Hoover during a contest at Doheny in the 1960s. Hobie did it all. He surfed, he created, and he changed the way we surfed and approach the surfing life in general.

The new issue also features a 50 Year Tribute to the film The Endless Summer, with an enchanting interview with ES superstar Robert August who talks about what it was like being part of such an amazing surf film. We've also got some shots from the recent swells, and a cool feature about what it's like surfing far beyond the Golden Gate Bridge. Throw in all the other stuff you've come to expect from Ghetto Juice, and you'll find the classic Hobie covershot is in good company.

Look for the new issue to hit next week, and be sure you're on it, because these bad boys fly off the shelves quickly.
